Coming of Age and Coming Out is one queer, nonmonogamous woman’s journey from repressed to reclaimed sexual desire.
 
This memoir is arranged in three sections: repressed desire, rumblings of desire, and reclaimed desire. Section 1 contains coming of age stories that led to my sexual repression: innocent, unspeakable, and spicy firsts. Section 2 spans the in-between of repression and reclamation with stories about so-called “promiscuity,” Christian “purity,” pregnancy, and presidential elections. In section 3, I explore my path to reclaimed desire through coming out stories in the form of final suppers, final silences, and final suppressions.
